Books and the Readers who read them

Tough read, honestly. Though I admit to not being much if a nonfiction reader. I remember being fascinated by Sybil when the movie came out. When I heard this book was being written, I was excited .

I found it alternately dry, plodding and buried in detailed, then entertaining, educating, and insightful. Moreover, the actions of Dr. Wilbur just plain creeped me out. She seemed much more convinced of her abilities than her successes would suggest. She and Shirley are depicted as being nearly addicted to each other.
